Cooper’s College Football Picks: Week 11

Written by Cooper Ray

Back again for my week 11 picks, I discuss the probabilities of a win for every team while also explaining my reasoning for my picks.

Alabama vs. Mississippi State. Alabama is rolling at this point of the season, and there is no stopping the Tide. I predict Alabama will blowout Mississippi State at their place, by a score of 45-7.

Florida vs. South Carolina. After giving Georgia all it asked for last weekend, South Carolina is playing very well this season although their record doesn’t reflect it. Florida is also having a terrible season, and the loss of their ex-head coach Jim Mcelwain doesn’t help. Look for the 6-3 Gamecocks to kill the Gators at William Brice this Saturday.

Georgia vs. Auburn. After the 9-0 Bulldogs got all they asked for last Saturday against a very good South Carolina team, they are bound and determined to win a huge game against Auburn. Georgia is also the underdog going into this game, despite being the top team in the country. Look for the “underdog” Bulldogs to knock off a very good Auburn team at their place this weekend.

Iowa vs. Wisconsin. So what Wisconsin is 9-0? That is probably the Iowa Hawkeye Football Team going into this week’s game against the Big 10 West front runner Wisconsin. After knocking off the heavily loved Ohio State Buckeyes last week by an outstanding score of 55-24, Iowa will also win big in this game against 9-0 Wisconsin due to the amount of momentum and mental highs they are riding right now.

Michigan State vs. Ohio State. Being deflated by their 55-24 loss to underdog Iowa last week, Ohio State has no hope left in their season. The most they could do is play for a bowl game. On the other hand, #13 Michigan State is having a great season and is playing for pride. Look for Ohio State to get beat once again by the Michigan State Spartans.

NC State vs. Boston College. NC State has been playing exceptional football this season, although the results don’t show it. Boston College does not stand a chance against the Wolfpack. We all know that a Wolfpack is superior to a Eagle.

Notre Dame vs. Miami. An undefeated, lucky Miami team vs. a hard working one loss Notre Dame team. I’m placing my bets on the Fighting Irish, and believe they blowout the Hurricanes and Mark Richt at their place this weekend.

Oklahoma State vs. Iowa State. A 62-52 loss to in state rival Oklahoma will not stoop the &-2 Cowboys and Mike Gundy this weekend as they head into Ames, Iowa to take on Matt Campbell and his much accomplished Iowa State Football Team.

TCU vs. Oklahoma. After starting the season in the top 4, Oklahoma is now ranked #5 and is on the outside looking for a way back in. After a 62-52 win against Oklahoma State last week in Bedlam, Oklahoma beats #8 TCU at home this weekend.

Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech. With both teams taking a loss last week, they both have lost momentum. That being said, this game will be a grudge match. Look for Virginia Tech to win this game where physicality will make all the difference.
