On January 22nd, Albany GA was hit by a large storm that destroyed many homes. The “Live to Give” fundraiser was created to help raise money for those storm victims. The Lee County School System accepted money donations at all of the schools. The fourth period class that raised the most money will receive a pizza party.
The 9th Grade Academy raised a total of $250. Mrs. Tomlinson’s class raised the most for the storm victims and will receive a pizza party! When asked how she got her students to raise money Mrs. Tomlinson said, “They were willing to participate. One student brought her wallet and dumped out all of the change.” The students also went out into the community to help. Congratulations to Mrs. Tomlinson’s class!
