I take a journalism class at the Ninth Grade Campus in Leesburg, Georgia and was asked to write this blog. That being said, why is this even a question?
Women’s March 2017
Each and every woman marched because a voice needed to be heard for the rest who couldn’t attend. This voice was powerful and will be heard continuously for the next four years and will not be stopped.
Donald Trump, this is not your time, it is ours. Women marched because things needed to be said. But we are not done talking. Not now, not ever. The Women’s March in Washington D.C alone drew roughly 500,000 people. That’s around three times as more than Donald Trump’s inauguration
Mission & Vision
We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families – recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country. [Women’s March Website]
They protested because we believe in an acceptable America which allows-no-welcomes anyone with open arms. Race,Gender,Age,Disability, etc. are not the issue even though the wrong people make it out to be. The voice of women are not done talking. Whether you like it or not, your going to listen,
.This is a message for those who aren’t listening to us; this is only the beginning.
