Fire Safety

Written by Erin Epperson

Last week the Lee County Fire Department came out to the Lee County High School 9th grade campus to do a presentation.  This presentation was shown to the kids involved in one of our two intro to law and justice classes.
This presentation was unlike others, it dealt with fire safety.  This presentation went over the four classes of fire, what is needed to make a fire, and along with numerous other unlisted things, how to use a fire extinguisher.

The presentation was one not to be forgotten.  It let kids and teachers from the Lee County 9th grade campus try to put out a fire for themselves.  They had a fire pit and provided fire extinguishers to attempt to put out fires.  Most were successful.

All in all, it was an informational, unforgettable experience that I am sure all the kids and teachers present were glad to attend.
